You never know who you'll have the privilege of meeting along your journey.

You never know who you'll have the privilege of meeting along your journey. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive and intimate training session with a limited attendance of around 25 individuals. The investment required to participate was substantial, but to my excitement, one of the distinguished speakers was Jon Gordon—a true inspiration in the field and someone I have watched from a distance. His works, including 'The Energy Bus,' 'Training Camp,' and 'One Word That Will Change Your Life,' have greatly influenced our business.

Reflecting on this experience, I am reminded of two truths that apply to each and every one of us.  First - seize every opportunity you can to meet your mentors.  I strongly encourage you to attend a multitude of training sessions, as they serve as transformative gateways to expanding your knowledge and mindset. In an environment where negativity often creeps in effortlessly, it is our responsibility to proactively seek out and nourish ourselves with positive influences.

Second, if you don't have anything by Jon Gordon on your bookshelf, get a few!  I wholeheartedly recommend 'The Energy Bus.' Reading this book taught me to recognize the individuals who contribute positive energy to the world, and equally important, those who drain it—the "energy vampires".

Another invaluable gem by Jon Gordon that I suggest exploring is 'One Word That Will Change Your Life.' Our family re-reads this book almost every year.  And we've based a client party around it!  (To learn more about how we have successfully integrated this book into our client events, please just reach out.)
