Team Building Reflection Exercise

January 03, 20251 min read

As a team, we use a simple but powerful tool to reflect on the past year, assessing where we are now, and envisioning the year ahead. The Year in Review Framework provides excellent prompts for individual journaling and meaningful team discussions.

Here’s a glimpse of the exercise:

2024 in Review

  • Gratitude: Reflect on what you’re grateful for this past year.

  • Lessons Learned: Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?

Present

  • Achievements: What are you most confident in right now?

  • Focus Areas: Identify what you’re currently working on.

2025 and Beyond

  • Excitement: Highlight what excites you right now.

  • Self-Awareness: Notice patterns, opportunities, or challenges you’re aware of.

  • Vision: What could happen in the next year to bring you pride, confidence, and excitement?

This framework sparks valuable insights and strengthens our sense of alignment as a team. I’d love to hear your thoughts—try it out and let me know how it works for your team!
