How Do People Perceive You as a Leader?

January 29, 20251 min read

Whether you’re leading a small team, building a brokerage, or simply looking to expand your influence, how others perceive you matters. One of my favorite business coaches shared a powerful framework that illustrates how influence develops—and it’s been a valuable guide for leadership growth.

Here’s what I’ve learned: We can’t control how people see us, but we can intentionally guide them through the stages of influence as we grow our world—and theirs. Leadership isn’t about a title; it’s about trust, impact, and the ability to help others succeed.

Take a moment to reflect—where do you currently stand in your leadership journey? And what steps can you take to increase your influence in a meaningful way? The more intentional we are, the more effective we become in leading and inspiring those around us.
