Tech Update: ChatGPT Operator in Action

February 20, 20251 min read

I took the plunge and signed up for ChatGPT Operator at $200/month, and after just two weeks, I’m already seeing its potential firsthand.

At a conference this week, I built two AI voicebot integrations—all over breakfast and lunch with a few colleagues. In just 30 minutes, here’s what we accomplished:

1️⃣ Created an AI voicebot prompt and integrated it into a system that allowed us to dial a phone number and interact with it.
2️⃣ Auto-generated a conversation transcript that was emailed to an inbox monitored by AI.
3️⃣ Used Operator to open the email, read the transcript, and extract key data, which was then automatically added to a Google spreadsheet.

Watching it all come together in real-time felt like witnessing the invention of electricity. The speed and automation are mind-blowing, and the possibilities for streamlining workflows are endless.

If you’d be interested in joining an unscripted Zoom call to see how this works in real time, reply to this email and I’ll look at putting something together. I’m no expert—but I’m on the journey, and we all grow faster when we mastermind together!

P.S. Breakfast with my friend Mark testing out an AI voice bot. Also, I did NOT order those potatoes.
