How are you doing on increasing your AI skills? And some Free Resources to Help!

If you still don’t feel like you are growing with AI, I would highly recommend you devote a few minutes a day to it!

Here’s a way that I really like to think about AI: AI is like having thousands of interns who have read the internet. When I start to think about AI as an intern, my expectations go way down, and my skepticism about results goes way up. I think that’s currently a good thing. But if you ask it questions and then ask follow-up questions to verify, ask yourself, "If I had a new intern, what projects would I give them?" You can probably find a way for CHAT GPT to do it! (except maybe get your cup of coffee).

Help AI help you. Sometimes we prompt AI without giving it the opportunity to help us improve the prompt. For example, here is a self-refining prompt: “I want you to help me write a great email to a client. What questions can you ask me to help me do a better job with this?” Answer the questions from AI for a bit and let it help you improve your thinking.

Keep learning! Here’s a podcast series I’ve been tuning into that you might find helpful:

Here’s the reality - it will all feel overwhelming at first. Learning AI can feel like learning a new language. It starts slowly and feels awkward - until our skills start to build momentum and we begin to experience fluency and compounding growth.

Also, another learning opportunity you might appreciate is coming up on April 17, 2024, where I’ll be covering some tips and tricks related to AI.
