The Benefits of a Walking Meeting

As a leader, you likely attend numerous meetings. Have you considered transforming some of these into walking meetings? This has been one of the most effective habit-stacking hacks I've learned over the past couple of years. Walking together not only engages a different part of our brain, allowing us to think differently while active, but it also enhances body language and rapport.

Instead of sitting across from someone, walking side by side can subtly increase collaboration. Whenever possible, I turn meetings with my agents or business partners into walking meetings. We start with a walk to get the blood flowing, breathe fresh air, and get a bit of movement before we settle into a conference room. It’s not always feasible, but the benefits are tremendous.

Next time you try a walking meeting, notice the increased collaboration. And if you're aiming to hit a daily step goal, these meetings can help you achieve two goals at once! It’s not just fantastic—it’s doubly effective.
